Eid Mubarak October 1, 2008

Filed under: Announcement — msmwestmidlands @ 6:15 pm

Eid mubarak to everyone here.

wanna share a very short tazkirah for life after ramadhan. feel free to click =)

To add some more, i heard from someone who listened to Kamal Helbawy’s talk in which he mentioned that if a Muslim were to incrementally better himself in all areas of his life… incrementally… just a little… year by year… then in 5 or 6 years he would be a TOTALLY different person.

I know that in Ramadhan we outdo ourselves. I know in Ramadhan we do things that leave us impressed… that leave us thinking: “did I just do that?”… “Did I pull that off?”…

Whether it’s that we read many many times more quran than the whole year put together… Whether you prayed more sunnah and nafl than the whole year put together…. Whether we did qiyam or gave charity in this month more than we did in the whole year put together?

So even after ramadhan, lets pick something in each aspect of our lives… something small that we can keep doing. Something to enhance our spirituality, to enhance our mind, our studies, our bodies and keep doing it!

Next year we’ll add something else onto this habit that we will have been doing for a year… and as we continue to do this for the next 5 years, I promise that we will look back and be happy and grateful to Allah that we’re now a completely different person. A better person insyaAllah.

May we have a blessed Eid, and a growing year.

Wassalam.
